Private accounts
With a private account, only followers you accept can see your profile posts. New followers send a request, which you accept or decline under Follow requests. Your listings, stories and wishes can then be shared with your followers or kept to yourself.
In the app: Account tab → profile menu → Settings & privacy
On the website: Account menu → Settings and privacy
Blocked accounts
Blocking hides you and the other person from each other everywhere on Ahiuwa. The list of people you blocked is under Blocked accounts, where you can unblock them. More in Blocking someone.
Post defaults
Choose the audience that is preselected whenever you create a post. You can still change it on each post before publishing.
- Listings
- Public, my followers, or only me.
- Stories
- Public, my followers, or only me.
- Wishes
- People I follow (the usual choice), public, or only me.
With a private account, the choices are your accepted followers or only you.
Where your posts appear
Choose the places your listings, stories, wishes and public profile reach. Tick a country to reach all of it, then open it to untick any state or city you want left out. Everywhere else, your posts stay hidden — and you do not turn up in people searches there.
This is useful if you only deliver locally, or want to keep a personal account out of other regions.
In the app: Account tab → profile menu → Settings & privacy
On the website: Account menu → Settings and privacy
What gets recommended to you
