Finding what you want

The Home tab has two feeds:

For you

Listings picked for you from what you look at, like, save and search for, from the countries you chose to get recommendations from.

Following

New listings from the people and shops you follow, wherever they post from.

Stories from people you follow run along the top of Home, and the wish button opens the wish feed. To change which countries your recommendations come from, see What gets recommended to you.

Every listing is filed under a category and a subcategory — for example Vehicles → Cars or Phones → Mobile phones. Browsing a category shows everything in it, newest and most relevant first.

You see listings from your own country unless you pick another one or All countries. Within a country you can narrow down to a state and a city.

Type what you are looking for and pick a suggestion, or press search for every match. Your recent searches are kept so you can repeat them; you can clear that history at any time.

In the app, the Search tab also finds people, wishes and hashtags. On the website you can search near a place and sort by distance.

Sort results by:

Best match

The most relevant listings first.

Newest

The most recently posted or renewed first.

Lowest or highest price

By price.

Nearest

The closest to the place you chose (website).

Ending soonest

Auctions about to finish first. Shown when your results include auctions.

Filters narrow your results down. Besides location and price range, you can filter by:

• the details that matter in that category — brand, model, condition, size and so on,
• Negotiable prices,
• With products (items you can buy online through checkout),
• Free delivery, and
• Auctions.

Filters only offer choices your results actually contain, with a count next to each, so you never pick a brand and get nothing. When most results sit in one subcategory, its own details (such as Brand and Model) appear without you choosing it first.

A listing shows:

• up to 5 photos, and sometimes a short video,
• the price, whether it is negotiable, the location and the details for its category,
• the seller, with their badges, rating and feedback,
• for shops: products to choose from, delivery options and reviews from buyers,
• for auctions: the current bid, the time left and the bid history,
• similar listings, so you can compare.

From a listing you can chat with the seller, show their phone number, save it, share it, buy it (shops) or bid (auctions), or report it.

Tap the bookmark on any listing to keep it in your Favourites. Saving also tells your For you feed what you are interested in.

Authors can mark a post 18+. Those posts are blurred for anyone under 18, anyone who has not added a birth date, and people who are signed out — and they cannot be opened. Adults can choose to blur them too, and tap through when they want.
