Getting paid

Your balance, when money becomes available, bank accounts and withdrawals.

Who can be paid through Ahiuwa

Money reaches you through Ahiuwa in two ways:

  • Sales through checkout or auctions, if you have an active shop.
  • Invoices you send in a chat, if you have verified your identity and your phone.

Both go into the same balance and are withdrawn the same way. A shop is paid in its home country's currency; anyone else in their own country's currency. Once money has moved through your balance, its currency does not change.

Pending and available balance

Pending
Money from orders and invoices that are paid but not finished yet. It is held so the buyer can be refunded if something goes wrong.
Available
Money you can withdraw.

Money from an order moves from pending to available when the first of these happens:

  • the buyer confirms delivery,
  • the order completes by itself, 14 days after it was marked delivered, or
  • the hold after delivery ends: 3 days when the buyer's delivery code was entered, otherwise 14 days.

Invoice money waits out the inspection window the two of you agreed. A dispute freezes the money until it is resolved.

What is taken from your earnings

Nothing. You receive the full price of what you sell, plus the delivery fee you set, and the whole of an invoice.

The person paying adds a small fee on top. Buyers pay buyer protection of 5% of the price on checkout and auction purchases and 5% of the price on goods and services invoices, and a transfer fee of 1.5% of the price on friends and family invoices, though rates can differ by country and category. It never comes out of your earnings. See Fees and limits.

Adding a bank account

  1. Open Payouts and add a bank account.
  2. We look the account up with the bank and show the name on it, so you can check it is yours before saving. Transfers to a wrong account cannot be reversed.
  3. Choose which account is your default.

New accounts wait 24 hours

A newly added bank account — even your first — can receive money only after 24 hours. Every change to your payout accounts is also sent to your email. If someone ever got into your account and added their own bank, this gives you time to notice and stop it.

Withdrawing money

From Payouts, withdraw any amount of your available balance above the minimum — $5, shown in your currency. The page always says why a withdrawal is not possible yet, if it is not.

Requested / Processing
The transfer is on its way to your bank.
Paid
The transfer was sent to your bank.
Failed
The bank refused it. The money is back in your available balance.

In the app: Account tab → profile menu → Settings & privacy → Payouts, or My shop → Payouts

On the website: My shop → Payouts

If your balance goes below zero

If a buyer is refunded after money reached your available balance or your bank, the refund is taken from your balance even if that takes it below zero. The difference is settled from your next sales.
