Adding products to a listing

The listing tells the story — photos, description, category, location. Products are the versions a buyer can pick and pay for, each with its own price and stock. A T-shirt listing might have one product per size and colour; a phone listing one per storage size.

  1. Open the listing from My listings and choose Products.
  2. Name the options that differ, such as Size or Colour, and their values.
  3. Add a product for each combination you sell, with its price and how many you have.
  4. Set up delivery (next section).

As soon as a listing has at least one product in stock, it shows a Buy button. When everything sells out, the button goes until you restock — the listing itself stays up, and listings with products do not expire.

Products are only possible in categories that allow them — not services, jobs, property or large vehicles — and in countries where buying online is switched on. You cannot remove an option value that existing products still use; change those products first.

Delivery methods, places and fees

For each listing you choose:

  • Which methods you offer: handover in person, your own courier (a rider, a bus park), a tracked courier, or digital delivery.
  • Your handling time: how many days you need before an order ships. Each order gets a ship-by date from it.
  • Where you deliver: every place your shop can sell to, or only the countries, states and cities you pick, minus any you leave out.
  • Delivery fees, which can differ by destination, or free delivery.

Methods differ in how well they can prove the buyer received the parcel, and the app tells you before you choose. That matters if a buyer later says it never arrived:

Strongest
The buyer’s delivery code entered at handover, with any method.
Some
A tracking number from a courier. It shows the parcel moved, not who received it.
None
Your word only. If the buyer says it never arrived, you have nothing to show.

Handling an order

When someone buys, you get a notification and the order appears under Sales. The buyer has already paid; Ahiuwa holds the money.

  1. Accept the order to tell the buyer you are on it.
  2. Pack it and mark it shipped before the ship-by date. For a tracked courier, add the carrier and tracking number.
  3. At handover, ask the buyer (or have your rider ask) for their 6-digit delivery code and enter it on the order.
  4. If you cannot get the code, mark it delivered yourself once it has arrived.

In the app: Side menu → My shop → Sales

On the website: My account → Orders → Sales

Always ask for the delivery code

It takes a few seconds, proves the buyer received the parcel, protects you from a false “never arrived” claim, and gets you paid after 3 days instead of 14 days. Wrong codes are limited, so it cannot be guessed.

Shipping after the ship-by date is recorded as late, and orders you cancel are counted too. Both lower your shop score, and with it how often your listings are shown.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order until it ships — for example if the item was damaged in storage. Give the buyer a reason; they get a full refund automatically. Cancellations count against your shop score, so keep your stock numbers accurate.

When a buyer reports a problem

If the buyer reports a problem, the money for that order stays on hold and you are notified. Our team looks at what the order records — the delivery method, tracking, whether the delivery code was entered — along with the buyer's photos and your chat, and may contact you. Keeping the whole deal in the Ahiuwa chat is your best evidence.

  • “It never arrived” is decided by proof of handover. A delivery code entered at handover settles it in your favour.
  • “Not as described” is judged on photos from both sides against your listing.

Our team then either refunds the buyer in full or releases the money to you. If a buyer is refunded after you were paid, the amount is taken from your balance, and from your next sales if your balance is not enough.

When you get paid

Money from each order waits in your pending balance until the buyer confirms delivery or the hold ends, then becomes available to withdraw. The details are in Getting paid.
