Posting a listing
- Open Create → Listing in the app, or Post a listing on the website.
- Pick the category and subcategory. The form then asks for the details that matter there — brand, model, condition, size and so on.
- Add a clear title, an honest description and the price. Say if the price is negotiable.
- Add photos: at least one, up to 5. The first one is the cover.
- Set the location, and choose who can see it (see below).
- Post it. It goes to review before anyone else can see it.
In the app: Create tab → Listing
On the website: Post a listing in the header
Listings that sell
Who can see a listing
- Public
- Anyone, including people who are not signed in and search engines.
- My followers
- Only people who follow you.
- Only me
- Hidden from everyone else — handy for a draft.
You can also turn on audience control to mark a listing 18+. Under-18s and people who have not added a birth date then see it blurred and cannot open it. Where your listings appear geographically is set under Where your posts appear.
Review before a listing goes live
Our moderators check every new listing, and every edit to a live one, before it is shown. Most are approved quickly. If a listing is declined, you see the reason — fix it and save it to send it back.
Listings are declined for things like prohibited items, misleading photos or prices, the wrong category, duplicates and contact details stuffed into the title.
Listing statuses
- Under review
- Waiting for a moderator.
- Active
- Live and visible to the audience you chose.
- Declined
- Not approved. The reason is shown; edit the listing to try again.
- Flagged
- Our team has concerns and has taken it down. Read the note and fix the listing.
- Closed
- You took it down. You can reactivate it.
- Sold
- You marked it sold.
- Expired
- It reached 30 days without being renewed.
Expiry and renewing
A listing expires 30 days after it was posted or last renewed, so buyers are not shown things that are long gone. To bring an expired listing back, reactivate it: if you have not changed it, it goes straight back live with a fresh date. If you edit it first, it is reviewed again.
A listing left off the site for 90 days is deleted for you, whether it was closed, sold, expired, declined or flagged. The clock starts when it came down and starts again whenever you edit it. My listings shows the date on each one; reactivate or edit it before then to keep it.
Two kinds of listing never expire: shop listings with products (they are stock, not one-off ads) and listings with an auction running.
Editing, closing and marking sold
- Edit to change anything. Editing a live listing sends it back to review.
- Close to take it down for now. Reactivating a closed listing sends it to review.
- Mark as sold when it is gone, so buyers stop asking.
There is no delete button. A listing that stays closed, sold or expired for 90 days is deleted automatically, so you only need to close it.
A listing with bids on its auction cannot be edited, closed or marked sold until the auction ends.

How many listings you can have
Ahiuwa can set a limit on how many live listings a free account may have in each category or subcategory. If you hit it, you will see a message with the packages that raise it. See Premium packages.
Seeing how your listings perform
Listing performance shows, across all your listings and for each one, how many people it reached, how often it was viewed, liked, saved, commented on and shared, how many people revealed your phone number, and which countries, states and cities your viewers are in — with the change since the previous period.
Use it to spot listings that are seen but not opened (improve the cover photo and title) or opened but not answered (check the price).
